Welcome to the 16th annual Spring Green Home Tour (formerly known as the High Performance Home Tour)…A HYBRID TOUR FOR 2021!

The Spring Green Home Tour is an annual educational home tour, open to the public, produced by the Home Builders Association of Durham, Orange & Chatham Counties and the Home Builders Association of Raleigh/Wake County. The tour showcases high performance homes that are third-party green certified. The 2021 tour is a hybrid tour, with all the homes having a virtual tour and select homes open for in-person tours. The Spring Green Home Tour takes place April 24-25 and May 1-2, 2021. This website will remain live through the end of 2021.

Purpose

The Spring Green Home Tour provides an opportunity for consumers to learn about sustainable building practices from the people and businesses that support it, including builders, contractors, suppliers, and green homeowners. It also serves as a way for building professionals to engage and educate the general public.

About the Hosts

The Home Builders Association of Durham, Orange & Chatham Counties represents and promotes the interests of the residential building industry in our three counties. The goal of the association is to provide service and representation to and for our members – contractors and associated professionals – in support of the building industry at large and in our area. The association serves as the voice of the residential construction industry at the local, state and national levels.

The Home Builders Association of Raleigh-Wake County represents and promotes the interests of the residential building industry on issues that affect their ability to provide housing that is affordable for all citizens of Wake County. The association serves as the voice of the residential construction industry at the local, state and national levels.

The High Performance Building Council of the Triangle (formerly the Green Home Builders of the Triangle) is a joint program of the HBA of Durham, Orange and Chatham Counties and the HBA of Raleigh-Wake County. Our green building program was launched in 2006 with the primary purpose of promoting building techniques and materials that produce homes which consume less energy and other resources, facilitate better indoor air quality, and provide a more durable product requiring less maintenance.
